ESSEN Pilot Lamp Holders type JS-7, are moulded from black phenolic material and are designed to accept E-14 screw cap filament or neon miniature lamps of approximately 54mm length and 16mm diameter. JS-7 has a transparent polycarbonate lens which is virtually unbreakable and will resist temperatures as high as 130°C. These lamp holders can also be supplied with polystyrene lens suitable for neon lamps only. To order lamp holders with polystyrene lens, add suffix '/P'. thus JS-7 with polystyrene lens shall be ordered as JS-7/P .
The polycarbonate and polystyrene lenses are available in Red, Green, Yellow, Blue and clear colours, all transparent. Green and Blue shades are not recommended for use with neon lamps in view of the colour distortion due to the yellowish discharge of the neon.
These lamp holders can be supplied with chrome plated, metallic cap in place of the normal bakelite cap. Add suffix 'M' to JS-7 to order lamp holders with metallic cap. Thus JS-7 with metallic cap shall be ordered as JS-7/M.
